Leadership & Staff
The ministry of FBC Carthage is led by a team of elders and assisted by deacons, but the members of FBC are the ones doing the work of ministry to those around them in their daily lives. The church staff helps support and enable this work and the church’s day-to-day ministry in various ways.
Jake Wright
Lead Pastor/Elder
Jake has served as the Lead Pastor since April 2018. He is married to Hannah and they have three children: Lucy, Boston, and Lincoln. He is a graduate of Wichita State University and earned a Masters of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently working towards a Doctorate. Jake loves preaching the Bible, kayaking, fishing in farm ponds, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
Thomas Foster
Elder
Thomas has been a member of FBC since 2022 and an elder since July 2024. He and his wife Julian have three children: Charlotte, Madeline, and Hudson. Thomas works for Schreiber Foods in leadership. He enjoys kayaking, going on adventures with his family, and teaching the Word of God. own text and edit. It's easy.
Guy Wilcox
Elder
Guy was born and raised in Joplin, Missouri. He was saved at a young age at Bethel Baptist Church in Seneca, Mo. He is a graduate of College Heights Christian School (now New Heights Academy), the University of Arkansas (B.M. - Music and Business), and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. - Church Ministries). He is married to Carolyn and they have 6 children. Guy spent 12 years in vocational ministry in Arkansas at FBC Elkins, FBC Bentonville, and University Baptist Church before moving back to Missouri. Guy works on the Wilcox Ranch and at Auto Spring Company, which have both been in his family for over 70 years. His hobbies include motorcycle riding, playing music, bicycling with his family, and the painful, yet somewhat enjoyable experience of being an Arkansas Razorback fan. Guy considers it an absolute joy to help shepherd the members of FBC Carthage!
